So They Say...

by LadyPearl   Mar 15, 2007

They chant love as though all other words cease
Holding it in their palms; glossed with sweat
Hugging it tightly so it's glimmer won't fade
So it's beauty will create everlasting peace

They kiss it like a petal as though it may break
But surely your strong hold will never let it fall
Love is yours you say, love is yours for real
Then let it bloom on its own, let it finally wake

Control it, chase it, as I know you will
Like your endless dreams of lusty nights
But it will run say the deer, away from its chains
It will run so far away that summer turns still

No. Please don't. Love comes by its own
Seduce it and it may come to you one day
But never will it bow so low just to touch you
Let it bloom and it will come; ready to be known

That was a beautiful poem. It really makes you rethink your idea of love. You have such great ideas and are able to express them wonderfully. You have a lot of talent, keep up the great work 5/5
