Someday...

by My tormented little heart   Mar 16, 2007

"I swear someday I'll be okay"
She says as she slowly walks away
With tears in her eyes
She says "I'll be fine when I die"

"Someday I'll find my peace"
She whispers before she goes to sleep
She wakes in the morning and drags herself out of bed
She wishes to herself "If only I were dead"

"Someday this'll pass and I'll be alright"
As she battles herself and loses another fight
She walks alone in the streets with a blank face
She mumbles to herself " I can't take this place"

She drags her heavy heart and slowly dies inside
"Someday I'll let it out and no more hurt will i hide"
She slits her wrists alone and promises no more
" I wish I couldn't feel this pain if I don't know what it's for"

She sits in her room and lays down her knife
And she pleads to God "please fix my life"
But she got no answers, he didn't reply
So she wrote down these words: " I had to die"

And on that paper she spoke how she hurts
Finally she took off that long sleeve shirt
Gashed her wrists deep into the veins
As she spoke the words "Someday I'll never hurt again"

She slit her wrists and she slit them deep
Closed her eyes and fell asleep
With nothing much left to say
She said "I'll see you again someday"
