Crystal Teardrops

by Resonating Hope   Mar 16, 2007

Emotions, the source of all,
Whether it be large or small.
Standing sentinel, like a wall,
Awaiting a painful call.

Sorrow, a powerful emotion,
With expanses like the ocean.
Waiting to break at the slightest notion,
Always a sign of broken devotion.

Every teardrop like the rain,
Both harbingers of greater pain.
Every teardrop like a crystal,
Ever so still, ever so dismal.

Even tears of joy,
Shed when girl marries boy.
Every tear a symbol of whats lost,
And what is given to pay the cost.

Tears shed when one is late,
A sign that even lovers can hate.
A different tears shed make an unusual medley,
Ever so dear, ever so deadly.

The tear is a reflection of the soul,
Whether is be white as snow, of black as coal.
When one falls for a simple lure,
The pain is ever more pure.
