Life's Rain

by Resonating Hope   Apr 26, 2007

Life is like a flower,
Oh so delicate, yet so beautiful.
So reckless are we, who believe we have power,
But when we slip and fall, all we want is for the pain to dull.

Life is like the light of a candle,
The darkness claws like a bramble.
A lone light trying to over come the dark the surrounds it,
The light ebbs and dims but tries to stay lit.

Why, oh why, do we all have to die?
Its like the ultimate betrayal, like everything you know was a lie.
We all go through life though in different ways,
It shall be this way until the end of days.

Everyday we must endure suffering and pain,
Barreling toward us like the rain.
Everyday we witness kindness and love,
Flying pure and free, like the wings of a dove.

White, Black, Blue and Gray,
Leaping in and through the fray.
All can be seen by those who look into the rain,
Fighting and striving to end the pain
