The Prayers

by .]Robz[.   Mar 16, 2007

When it is night I long for the day
So I may kneel down and pray
But when it is day I long for the night
And hope everything will be all right

This is one of the hopes
That rolls away like a boulder down a slope
All my hopes come to no avail
I might as well be rotting in Hell

My father comes home from work one day
I will predict exactly what he will say
"Get the hell out of my way"
So all is left to do is pray

The night that follows that day
I hope i will be sent away
Again the hope that will betray
So all is left to do is pray

The next morning I go to school
Surrounded by people who think they're cool
They always cause me so much pain
So all is left to do is pray

Several decades have come and pass
The days of my end approach so fast
And anyone of them can be my last
No more need to fear my past
All these years I constantly prayed
But now all is left to do is... lay
