Wish upon a Broken Star

by LadyPearl   Mar 17, 2007

Hold the dust--don't let it fall
Hold it close and dream away
Don't let it fall, don't let it fall
Don't let it turn to shadow play

I'm a dreamer--so they all say
My eyes are blurred and feelings gone
When clouds can touch a sleeping prey
Then I know where home kisses dawn

It is no use, none, zip, zero
To wish when no one will believe
A world no longer breeding heros
Where children are left alone to grieve

I sing to thee, this broken song
This broken song for a broken star
I sing to thee where night is strong
This healing song to mend your scar

so many wishes, so many unheard
They slip through your bloody wounds.
Just like a hopeless gallow bird
Tossing and turning--never ever found
