True love

by Abbie   Apr 9, 2004

In your stomach I lay
For 9 months I stayed
Not knowing how close we had become
Or that a friendship had just began

A relationship between a mother and daughter
So strong that nothing could falter
It was unusual to see
Just how happy the two of us could be

We’ve had our ups and downs its true
But nothing could ever break us in two
Times of laughter joy and just plain fun
You’re more of a best friend than my mum!

You give all the love you have and more
This is a quality of which I adore
Your kind and helpful nature is shown
Through all the children you take into your home

I know you’ll always be there to support me
And I’m grateful for the two that will be
Mother and daughter, a true friendship growing older
And together we’ll stay helping each other along the way.

Not as good as your other poems, but still a lovely poem.
