The Journey

by Edward Elric   Mar 19, 2007

A lone traveler, awash on a shore
The sands of time making him sore
The waves of insanity lick at his feet
A rain of tears reminding him his defeat

He tried to cross a dangerous sea
From the game of love he tried to flee
It took him a while to finally see
That this love was not meant to be

His love for the girl was ever so deep
Thinking of her made him weep
Eventually his feelings won
And so the sea raged on

An inner turmoil faced the lad
The love for the girl drove him mad
No one else could make him so sad
But into her eyes he was constantly drawn
And so the sea raged on

Now our hero is completely at loss
Facing a bridge that he cannot cross
A final decision he must make
Will he risk suffering for love's sake?
Or will reason finally dawn?
And so the sea rages on
