Friends Dont See

Friends so they are, But friends never see,
That what they complain of, They cause to be,

Exuding a smile, A brave happy face,
No one suspects, The deep inner ache,

Walking the line, Day After Day,
Trying to find, An easier way,

Confidence torn, dignity frayed,
Youve soon forgotten, The price you have paid,

Standing alone, surrounded by cold,
Time has gone by, The habits are old,

You no longer exist, life taken its toll,
beautiful body, lifeless soul,

Numbed by yourself, But seemingly fine,
Falling from grace, An untimely decline,

Alone in the dark, Slave to a Sin,
Faded away, Faith wearing thin

Friends they say they are, But Friends never see,
The pain and destruction that fills within me
