Heart of Pine

by Daisy if you do   Mar 20, 2007

On a hot summer day
Back in eighty eight
In a field of hay
With dusk and haze
Off Dunbar road
In that old Chevrolet
Sitting side by side
On that old tailgate
Wind in my hair
World at my feet
Gave in to lust
Mid summer heat
I just cant forget
Words of passion
That turned into regret
Wished I was Kaw-liga,
With his heart of pine
There would be no regrets
In this head of mine
