Death to the promise breaker

by HollywoodSmile   Mar 20, 2007

The hired help raised the blade
2 am, not bad

the victim slowly rose her head
and spoke oh-so-sad
"i die tonight, so be it, for i never lived a lie"
the victims breaths grew short as she began to cry

the hired help spoke quickly
clear, and non-hesitant
"you die tonight, fair maiden, for that one last heart you broke"

the victim gasped, "he wouldn't"
the assassin agreed,"and he wont. this blade was ordered by his guardian, for your promises to him you broke"

"my death be asked for by an angel? but sir why, this cant be so!"
"i told you, poppy, you broke your promises, for that is all i have been told"

"poppy? who are you, Man, Satan?"
"poppy be your soul!"

and so the hired help killed the girl that night,
but as he exited quietly,
he removed the mask and cap,
the poor girl never new that the one she promise she did keep,
was that her former lover would be her last,

the assassin was a young girl,
hired by her past love's ex,
for that ex kept her promises and for that she did not pass

the promise kept by the ex was to be his guardian,
to guard him from the poppies that were to break their promises
