Why I Love You Like I Do

Trade my world,
give my life
everything about
you is what I like,
and the little things
you do,
the little things you
say,
lets me know you
don't ever want to
be replaced.

By my side night
and day,
blessed by the
things you say,
its like every time
I look in your eyes
I know why.

I don't have to
fake a mile,
hold back the
tears,
I just hand you
my tears
as you take my
hand;
forever standing
inches away.

Together we're
strong,
the one and only
thing that helps
me along,
that keeps me
playing this beautiful
song.

I don't have to
pretend I'm holding
on tight
because baby you
and me its more
than right.

you see through my
walls,
you know it all,
you hear the pain as
your love cascades
like
rain.

you see the beauty
in everything,
the beauty in everything,
everything in me.
you hold our dreams
and all the reasons why
I love you like I do....

    Think that this is absolutly great and enjoyed it very much though i do agree with Michelle in what was said about the repitition of "tears"

    I really enjoyed it and thought it was a good read. I especially lilked the way you formatted the piece, I think something as little as the structure of a poem can completely change the effect of it and in this case it worked quite well for you. These lines really caught my eye,
    "you hear the pain as
    your love cascades
    like
    rain."

    I did think though that the lines,
    "hold back the
    tears,
    I just hand you
    my tears"
    sounded a bit repeatative and "Tears" could have been substituted with another word in the second line.

    Overall I thought it was a lovely read, good job
