Falling

Emotions run through my mind
Take over my body and soul
They are all mixed together
Impossible to control

In control of my actions
Nothing I do is right
I'm falling deeper as time goes by
I can't even put up a fight

Who gave my mind control?
I know it wasn't me
I hate who I am now
Because I know it isn't me

Even though I've changed
My emotions are still inside
Never for the world to see
Forever they shall hide

No one is at fault
Because they do not know
Every day I put on a mask
And my emotions do not show.

    Deep thought. I like the theme to this poem. I loved the metaphore. Don't we all wear masks? I definaely understand how you feel when you saw that your emotions are outta control and you feel like you're hiding in a world, filled with lies. Excellent poem. (5/5)
