Live to die

by Heather   Mar 23, 2007

I can't pretend it doesn't exist
this pain I feel inside
nor can I walk away
and forget you only lived
to die

you leave behind a family
one which didn't know of your love
you leave behind a job
which now isn't being done

you left this earth so suddenly
in only a moment you were gone
you were not ill
or in your golden years
the only thing i can blame is the company
who worked you to tears

you worked all summer to by the dream home on the lake
you worked overtime to pay off the place
you spent thousand on that boat which sits collecting dust
and you had to have that new car that is covered in rust

so now I raise my glass to the one of a kind man
the man who's work was his life
and only lived to die
