Night Rain

by Skyfire   Mar 23, 2007

I look into the sky
and watch the night-rain fall
the soft call of dusk
entices me.
Water streams across my skin
Cool and clean
Erasing where i've been
And who i was.
The soft glow of a street-lamp
Rubs across the shadows-
a smeared chalk drawing
of trees and stars.
It seems far away
like a dream
Perhaps I walk the line
between waking and wafting away
I look into the sky
and watch the night-rain fall....

I love rain and storms, and this is written so beautifully, it really captures perfectly that feeling of being in the rain, wonderful images and very well written.
