Tonight

Anguish pain depression hate
building up inside
cant take it much longer

she tries to fight the temptation
this addiction she has
she wants to be stronger
but she needs an escape

In her room alone
just one more time and then she'll quit
trying not to
one more time,
but all of this building up..
just once more

with tears down her face
she pulls out the blade
it will all be over after tonight
she just needs it...
just one more time
then it will be alright

down her legs
through her arms
up her sides

she feels like a disgrace
to herself and to no one else
no one else understands
why she would do this with her own two hands

as the tears stop
she watches the blood drip
soon it will dry
no more tears in her eye....
the pain is gone

and for a little while
she wont have to cry

cleaning it all up
she wraps her new found wounds
tomorrow shell conceal them
until the healing process is through

laying in her bed and drifting off to sleep
all curled up under the sheets
now everything is well

but in the back of her mind,
she knows shell never stop
she hasn't the ambition
to break the addiction

now she lays in a restless heap

she knows she needs to stop
she needs help, its true
she needs to go someplace safe
someplace new
where there is no more blades
no more pain
people who understand
to lend a helping hand
or at least try
to help her not to cry
to dab the single tear from her eye.

some day soon...
just after this one more time
