Crimson Stain

by Hannah   Mar 25, 2007

A rusty blade
Heart filled with pain
Meshing together with
Desire to fade.
Cold hard steel
Against bare flesh
The smile begins
No pain to yet feel.
Slowly streaking down
Incision so small
The blood dripping
Smile turns to frown.
Wincing delight
No turning back
The thoughts of heartache
Still give fright.

With a crimson stain
I long for the day
When all of this pain
Will be taken away.

Tears flowing free
Wishing I could change
Change who I am
To who I want to be.
I seem to think
This takes away pain
Harming myself
My own intoxicating drink.
Adrenaline rush
At the sight of red
Someone try to stop me
I tell to hush.
Quietly waiting
The blood flows on
Weakness overcomes
I begin fading.
