Constant Duress

You tell me I'm psychotic,
I turn the other cheek.
You tell me I'm worth nothing,
I'm everything but meek.

You put me down constantly,
I stare you in the eyes.
You laugh when i make simple mistakes,
I tell you love's a lie.

You mock me for my passion,
I just support it more and more.
You tell me I'll always be nothing,
When nothing is what I'm for.

You hit me from behind,
I turn and say hit my face.
You slam me into the ground,
I tell you you're a disgrace.

You walk away like always,
I mock you for your cowardliness.
You cry a thousand tears,
I cry with you in duress.

You kiss me softly,
I kiss you back.
You say forgive me,
I say it's all off track.

We hold hands and walk away,
Like nothing happened at all.
And like everything else,
What goes up has to fall.
