Who Is It You Want Me to Be?

by CareBear   Mar 26, 2007

This is who i am
To you, it's who I've become
So terrifyingly familiar
So comfortably New

Here i am lying to you
Unbelievably convincing
Because I Believe it too
I pray this pain brings positivity

Isn't it strange?
You're supposed to love me
But you stare so apathetically
Not a hint of sympathy for what you've done

You started this in spite
And we'll finish with mutual despise
Forget you've ever known me
Erase my smile from your mind

Soon memories are all you'll have
But don't blame me this time
I won't be suppressed bu your naivety
Smile like you truly mean it

Can You?
Don't pretend you're here to save me
When you're the reason i need salvation
Your smile is just another reason i hate

How can you take my happiness?
And pretend it's for the best
You hate who I've become
But I hate Who You Want me to be
