Only On Tuesdays

by Hannah   Mar 27, 2007

(this is actually a song, but I like it.)
*Dedicated to my good friend, Travis Knudson*

Verse 1
I woke up this morning to a cup of tea
Every fiber burning inside of me
Today is a day that will not be the same
Only on Tuesdays I live this life of fame.

Chorus
Meaningless nothings. bittersweet goodbyes
Painful regrets. sorrowful laughter
Here I go again. Only one more try.
It's only Tuesday, but I'm ending this chapter.

Verse 2
I strap on my shoes and I head downtown
But no amount of smiling truly his my frown.
Surrounded by humans living a lie.
Only on Tuesdays do I wish I could die.

(chorus)

I enter my favourite coffee shop
Already running late but I had to stop.
Looking at the menu, I don't know what to buy
Only on Tuesdays it's a Grande Iced Chai.

(chorus)

Verse 4
I finally arrive at half past one
Four hours to go until my job is done
I sit down at my desk with papers piled high
Only on Tuesdays I let out a sigh.
