It's been three years
since you went away.
Nothings been the same
since that awful day.

I held your hand
as you drifted away.
All that i could do
was stand there and pray.

dad was there to meet you
just as we all said he would,
I wanted to grab his hand with you.
If only I could.

I know you had to leave
to join my dad up in the sky,
It doesn't help to dry the tears
that flows out from my eye.

i think of you often Mom
and i wish you could be here,
on those days when i need your hug
or just to have you near.

i know that you've been watching me
and you know the things I've done.
I can almost feel you hold me,
as you say, "It'll be OK Hun"

On those day when I'm sad
and feeling all alone,
Those are the days i miss you most
and wish you could call my phone.

Could you tell dad that I love him
and i miss him just like you?
Could you also tell my grandma
I said happy birthday too.
