Second chances

by Amy Jo   Mar 29, 2007

She was your one and only,
who was always there for you.
Now your stoned and lonely,
and have nothing better to do.

The days keep getting worst,
and you become sedated.
Your love life has a curse,
and you feel so faded.

At work she walks by you,
with her friends, and new man.
It's sad that you guys are through,
and now you have no future plan
.
She walked right out of your door,
and she's still smiling.
Your eyes reach nothing but the floor,
and you feel like dying.

Well maybe you shouldn't have lied,
and been so unfaithful.
All those tears she cried,
it took away your soul.

How does it feel inside?
How much do you think she still cares?
Do you think she wishes you'd died?
To talk to her, you wouldn't dare.

Don't worry it's all your fault.
She just couldn't see what was there.
You kept your heart in a tight vault,
where the key was found unfair.

Past you, in your office chair,
As she walks by and drops her pen.
Pick it up for her, finally a dare,
And another story begins.
