Sonnet II

by Vincent Libin   Mar 29, 2007

The damp of your breath
was not what I had waited for,
nevertheless it lets me wait for more,
the source of my threat.

The noises in your sleep,
I had never heard before,
and though I'd like to hear more,
the feeling is too deep.

I want to love you,
however that's no choice,
want to hold you too,
hear the strength of your voice.

Still I refuse to fall in love with you, my dear,
'cause it's beyond love when you are near.
