Anorexia

by Broken Dreams   Mar 30, 2007

You whisper softly in my ear
You are too fat but you can heal
And I believe the words you say
And follow you, I think you're real

But you lead me down a road
Riddled with temptation
And I cannot get out
I've fallen too deep in

I follow you and heed your word
And start to see a trend
When you whisper in my ear
The rules all start to bend

And I follow you down a road
Riddled with temptation
And I cannot get out
I've fallen too deep in

You tell me not to eat that food
So I turn it all away
I exercise to lose some more
And grow gaunter every day

But I walk down that road
Riddled with temptation
And I cannot get out
I've fallen too deep in

Food calls out wherever I go
I turn from it in shame
For if I start to eat that food
I hear you speak my name

And I stumble down that road
Riddled with temptation
And I cannot get out
I've fallen too deep in

Soon I start to falter
And fall when I try to stand
But still you say I'm not quite there
You still reach out your hand

And you carry me down that road
Riddled with temptation
And I cannot get out
I've fallen too deep in

Anorexia you lied to me
I was never fat at all
And now I lay with roses
Because I followed your call

And I died on that road
Riddled with temptation
For I could not get out
I had fallen too deep in
