Searching for the True Self In You

You've been trying to be
Someone that you're not and
Someone you knew you wouldn't be
All can see how much you've tripped
Falling on your face endless times
You've made a fool of yourself
When all you wanted to be was cool like them
But when you tried to find yourself
You get lost and so confused
Searching up and inside out
Going crazy then giving up
Maybe everyone tries to be like someone else
Because we all can't find ourselves
We try too hard to find the talent
That everyone would be amazed for
But to be true what would really amaze me is
When you let me see the true beauty that lies inside
Your true self inside of you
