Turn and face the strange

by pirateRAWRR   Apr 1, 2007

Look how beautiful the girl is
when she smiles
isn't she graceful as she falls
the men at the entrance laugh
and the blackness of the night over rides the fact that everything was OK
she stumbles out of yet another bed
unsure of where she is or where she is headed
shaking like the quivering bird locked out in the storm
she pulls herself up off the floor
the men all gawk and continue to chuckle
but she knows herself better than them
its time she won her own heart back
under attack
she soldiers through the war
many stains and bruises later
she knows she will be stronger
for the outer scars will fade with time
and the inner ones which do not show
will lose there severity
for deep down she knows
this she can overcome
