The Rain

by Brianna Breakkdown   Apr 1, 2007

It's falling from the skies
Droplets of endless sadness and pain
Just like the tears burning my eyes
My heart breaks in the pouring rain

It stains my skin red
The color in my eyes
As I remember everything to me you've ever said
And the last few things that are causing my cries

I'm so scared... So scared and alone
I wish you were here to hold me
The cold water frm the sky chills me to the bone
I wish the sun would come out, wish you'd come and set me free

The rain
Is falling down on me
All the pain
That just won't let me be

My heart is useless in stopping the ache
My mind can't stop thinking about the pain
Every second I feel my heart break
Someone help me before I go insane

I can't walk without falling to the ground
And curling up as I sob
I feel the cold tears all around
My whole body pulses in a relentless throb

I look above, but the clouds aren't breaking
It's darker than the deepest night
The rain cuts me like glass and my wounds sting
What happened to my knight?

The rain
Is falling down on me
All the pain
That just won't let me be

Baby, can't you see
Even if we're only friends
I still need you here with me

The rain
Is falling down on me
All the pain
That just won't let me be

The rain... The rain...
The rain is falling down on me...
This pain...
It just won't let me be

Baby, come back to me

'Cause I can't stand the pain
I can't cease the rain
That's falling down on me
