Rembrance Day Poem

by Crystal Gaze   Apr 1, 2007

So many lives taken
So many hearts breaking
When the sun rises it doesn't bring warmth
It rises and illuminates the stench of the dead
Life ends to harsh over here
Life ends to quickly
Soldiers rise and fall to soon
Some mere Children
Others grown men
My time will come soon
Of this I am sure
But with courage I fight..
Until I die at war.
It's like torture
But still it's a Sacrifice I've made
Cuts and Bruises concur
But still I remain
The war will come to and end
Like all battles do
But till then I fight for the peace that will be given to you
But don't forget those fallen
Those who died on the ground
For they died for you and for peace in our country,
As well to remind you weapons bring death
Death brings sadness
Peace keepers keep life
But what does life bring?
More Death?
All to start the circle over again?

This was one of the poems I wrote for Remembrance Day for school. I know it's a bit choppy and maybe confusing but there where several guidelines.
So please bare with me
