Scribbles

by Locked X In   Apr 2, 2007

And these scribbles on my notebook
mean more than what meets the eye
it tells my darkest secrets
and for once they aren't lies

If you took the time to read them
you'd realize how much pain I'm in
days filled with torment and regret
a game I surely can not win

You'd understand that I'm torn up inside
from all the words spoken
spoken by my mom, my friends, myself
and all the while I'm choking

I want someone to tell me I'm not alone
that they'll be with me all the way
but I'm the one telling that to everyone else
I guess thats the price to pay

When you don't let anyone in
and only write these notes
no one knows what you hide
they believe its all a joke

I liked this poem. I found the emotion really deep and strong. It was really dark. An enjoyable read. Well done ~mel

(And with the poem "my haunting childhood memory" I wrote that poem out of experience)

    5/5 ~mel
