The Picture on Your Window

by LizBeth Unknown   Apr 4, 2007

-The window in your wall is not a special place
The picture on the window shows a special face

-It has a thin picture of a girl years ago
A girl quite young and never got to show

-Her eyes are dark and she has perfect teeth
The most beautiful glow you ever did see

-Long black hair and a long white dress
She seems very elegant and very impressed

-You stare at it long and you will frown
Bloodstains will appear on her gown

-Her hair will fall thin, her face will decay
She died years ago is all I will say

-She was pushed out your window and fell to her doom
Inside your wall, her spirit still looms

-Who killed her you ask? Well, it is easy to say
She was killed by her husband on her wedding day

-It is a terrible fact and you seem a bit scared
Is it the blood on my dress and glass in my hair?

Beautifully creepy. The ending nearly sent a shiver down my spine; it was just so unexpected. Well penned, and a superb choice of words.
