Within This Silence

by Unrequited   Apr 4, 2007

Drained to the core.
nothing left to give,
no hearts to be received.
i am finished within this soul.

this emptiness tastes bitter
as gray consumes the sky.
this weight upon my life,
i can no longer move
as though my kingdom will perish.
all expected words are left unspoken
and severed in this grave.

swollen eyes must sleep.
buried hearts take to slumber.
forgotten breath must be recaptured
only to be released once more.
haunting silence will surroud...

be nothing with me.
this life will break
until we are one.
i pray my dream shall appear.
for in this new life,
your love will inflate my heart anew.
in your eyes, i am reborn.

drained... for a time.
empty... at this moment.
but sleep within this silence
shall become my rebirth
and this burning heart shall yearn for more.

Its amazing how you make your words make your reader feel the cold sting of heartache and the nothing of emptiness

Why so morbid? really, try to feel, at least a little optomistic for the future, there is still so much more to come.
