Due Date

by Rusheena   Apr 5, 2007

He tries with a rope for the last time.
He's sure that this will work; "Yeah, this is the perfect crime."
Sick of the pain inside
That he so desperately tried to hide.
He ties it tight
As he embraces the night.
Like a brand new kite.
He loses control of his body weight
The wind tears though his ears
As it give him tears.
Finally, he can erase those lonely years.
He's almost to the bottom of the bridge.
His heart finally closes up that dreadful ridge.
Uh-oh! Too late! NEVER try to choose your own due date.
He screams with fear in his heart as he reaches the park.
He closes his tear filled eyes as he counts 3...2...1...
Now it's dark.

"You should never try to choose your own due date."

Hey, you commented me on one of my poems. Yeah, it was about an ex, it's a long and kind of freaky story.
I really like this you one you wrote. Nice job!!!
