Friends

by Wallace   Apr 5, 2007

How do you know who's a friend
Well surely it's someone who will stay to the end

But isn't here a beginning too
A time before something is due

But who knows for sure
For doesn't matter most that they endure

For Friends come for a time, maybe a season
If you're lucky they come for a special reason

Is it to teach you a lesson you didn't know or to faithfully help you grow

Love the ones that come for a season for they won't stay long
Just to cherish you and stay among

But the real angels are there to stay
And will always be there no matter what you say

But these are rare and very few
And will give you something special and new

So be on the watch, oh yes, be prepare
For those angels might just be near

I have been trying to come up with a poem like this for a while! I think your writing is better than anything I could come up with! 5/5
