My Mother

by Wallace   Apr 5, 2007

She knows me better than anyone
She knows what I've done

She knows who my friends are
And she always treats me as her son

This mother's day I want to repay my gratitude
For her kindness when I was so rude

So from all the children in the world, "we give moms thumbs up"
With all our troubles we gave you, you never gave up

As from this mother's day we want it to be known
That mothers all over have worked hard to the bone

To be at work then to come home
Just to be by our side so that we're never alone

And how we get so upset when they say no
But soon we forget they love us so

To mother's all over, from east to west
Remember that someone thinks you're the best

This poem was written by a thirteen year old
Who realized the reason why his mother's heart was so hardened

And that's because it's made of pure gold

I like it.. but the second stanza doesnt fit the rhyme scheme of the rest I would reccomend adding 'for one' t the end of line 1 of it.. simple but affective.
