Suicide with the Broken Mirror

by AngelWithTheBrokenWings   Apr 6, 2007

She sits in her room crying in front of the mirror
wondering if the people down stairs can hear her

black mascara and eye liner stains all down her face
she sits there wondering how she ever lived in this place

she has cuts and scars from her shoulder to her wrist
if she were dead would she be missed?

tired of the reflection staring back at her
she uses her fist to brake the mirror

she picks up a piece of the glass
and she cuts her wrist oh so fast

she looks down and sees she hit a vein
thats when she knows she is no longer sain

she drops to the floor on her knees
and she begs God to take her life, please

her eyes start to flutter
and know one hears her mutter

"i cant stand this anymore
my life now is just to sore,
you should have seen what was wrong from the start
and now its time for us to part."

Excellent poem. It's definently sad but I can see it happening. Two of my friends are cutters. I don't personally see how it helps anything but what do I know. I have however laid in the floor of my room crying and wondered whether my parents don't hear or just don't care. Anyway very good peom.
