The one thing it's not

by broken wings   Apr 7, 2007

If one day we are
the one thing we wished for
would it be worth it?

if in the end the scars
that came, though we fought so hard
would it be worth it?

if we found our hearts
bound and broken, open on the floor
would it (all of this) be worth it?

if these shards
of lost afflictions on the shore
aren't worth it.......
what are we to do with this 'amore'?

if this becomes the one thing
it's not meant to be
the worlds and hearts colliding
would we just leave?

these aren't my what ifs
these are my worries
about all of these things
about unfinished destinies

these bright lights
these blinding lights
the last things before you go
the memories of the fights

and last but not least
all of your last words
in my eyes you're forgiven
in my heart, away you don't turn
