A Dead Admirer's Tale

by A Former Outcast   Apr 8, 2007

I saw her walking past me,
Her beauty stole my heart.
Her smile made the sun dull,
Her face was a work of art.

She turned and saw me staring,
And shyly, she said hello.
My tongue went dry, I couldn't speak,
And my legs turned into jello.

Her giggle was a crystal's song,
Her smile filled me with joy.
The way she walked and how she moved,
So cunningly clever and coy.

I found out her name was Crystal,
And the name was very clear.
Crystal was a priceless person,
Someone I loved to be near.

But Crystal was an evil witch,
Who teased and tortured my heart.
She'd lead me on then push me back,
Right back to the very start.

I struggled on, as much as I could,
Until finally I couldn't stand it.
I went to her and asked for her love,
She told me that we wouldn't fit.

She drove me insane, that horrible tease,
She tore my poor heart in two.
Since she wouldn't accept my love for her,
Maybe I need some proof too.

I went to her house, and climbed on the roof,
And tied the rope to the side.
I put the noose on, and jumped off the roof,
And hung there, like a cow's hide.

She came out in morning, and screamed at the sight,
Of a crumpled and twisted dead man.
But that made me happy, how she looked so sad,
It was all part of the master plan.

She realized that it was her fault I died,
And the guilt made her depressed.
All I did was kill myself,
Her guilt would do the rest.

She took a gun and shot herself,
The gun worked very well.
Now that stupid witch is paying the price,
As her soul rots in Hell.

Listen closely, to my words,
And just remember this.
If you have an admirer,
Never torment his bliss.

This is almost a story in poem form, very well written tale of unrequited love and revenge, though sad, it also has a dark humor to it. However no one is worth dying for, though at some point in life we all feel that way. Great piece.
