Kids in war, this is a wake up call

by purplemadness   Apr 9, 2007

All in the world people get hurt
And I mean not only by words.
Set your own troubles aside
And take a look to the dying of a child.
All day people here do nothing but complain.
Have you ever thought about somebody else's pain?

Stop nagging, I don't give a f**k
Widen your sight; take look at the kids dying in Iraq.
Think of what you have, not what you have lost.
We gotta get those kids out of that war, at all cost.
All those idiots complain as much as they possibly can,
Tell that to the parents of a deceased kid in Pakistan.

Tell them of how bad you feel for being alone,
Shut up!!! Those people don't even have a home.
Surely it's sad that you feel like crying,
But honestly, is that more important than those children dying?
I know it's sad, the love you've lost,
But in Russia children die in frost.

You are so lucky you live here and not over there,
'Cause with an attitude like that, nobody cares.
Some kids never live to see another sunshine,
Because they stepped on a freaking mine.
And here you are, singing the blues,
Now tell me honestly, what's your excuse?

It's easy to get a kid out of the war,
I've been there, I've done it before.
But how do you get the war out of a kid?
Have you really ever thought of it?

In Africa, children die of drought and hunger,
Wake up world, this can't go on no longer.
Don't you think it's living hell,
To try to survive in a rain of bomb shelves.
Their whole life is a chain of pain,
After reading this, do you still complain?
