Fame

Fame!
Ha, gimme a break.
A new football star, everybody praises him.
One week later he loses a game for his team,
you never hear about him again.
Media Celebrities, no longer judged for their talent, but rather for their body.
What is fame?
Fame does not exist anymore.
All that is left is this illusion that one could be famous.
That's all that is left.

    Ah, interesting poem. Lacks flow and substance, but you made your point. I agree and disagree. Fame still exists, but the meaning and the qualifications have changed. I agree that credit is often not given where credit is due, and fame now revolves more and more around beauty...which is sad. Overall, a good write. Unique! Congrats on 3rd place in the club contest.
