Angel#2 (Black Butterfly)

by ShadowedEyesLie   Apr 9, 2007

She flew high over the world
Letting him lead without a word
His maleficent ways scaring her
Each and every day

She stayed right above him
Following his every move
Making sure not to miss a turn
And always staying true

She did what she was told
And stood silently in the cold
As he beat her to the ground
Getting ready for another round

There were no bruises
No scraps or scars
Only on her thought and dreams
Did he hurt her

His twisted words destroyed her
Killing off her last bit of happiness
Then he walked away
Like she was merely a piece of trash

Crying on the edge of a pond
The rain drenching her black clothes
A black butterfly lands on her pants
And she finds her daily smile once again.
