Posing on the Sea

by KeyxMashingxParody   Apr 11, 2007

Tall and beautiful,
A lady walks in peace.
Hiding all of her feelings,
While posing on the sea.

A suffering girl,
A troubled young lady.
Messed up like always,
Found out she's having a baby.

She tells her manager,
He'll fire her for sure.
She'll be left homeless,
His heart selfishly impure.

As she looks into the camera,
Striking a new pose.
Trying to hide her small stomach,
So that He'll never know.

That this is his child,
After the alcohol and cocaine.
That one night a few weeks ago,
Where she thought she left all her pain.

The camera flashes,
She shuts her eyes to see.
Herself giving birth,
While posing on the sea.

(I wrote this about a friend of mine. I know the poem isn't that good, but still let me know what you think... Love you Jade! I wish your child well!)

I really love the 1st and last stanzas. They work very well together. The only thing is, some of the lines in the middle seem a little forced, like this one: "Where she thought she left all her pain." Maybe you could try reading the poem out loud, and re-arrange lines to sound smoother. This is a very good poem beside that, and I wish your friend well.
