What I Wish to Say

To show affection and emotion
it what is seemed to be
I write or think or say it proud
to show that this is me

I write to escape the pain
the hurt and loneliness
Although I do feel hurt sometimes
I am happy nonetheless

But the happiness I witness
does not prevent the pain
So I write down my feelings
to help myself stay sane

My writing is a part of me
perhaps the softer side
for it helps me to overcome
the things i can not hide

Some may say that its a gift
or that i have a way
but simply its just writing down
the words i wish to say
