This Isn't a Fairy Tale; She Went From Riches to Rags

by Behind Blue Eyes   Apr 12, 2007

Her outfits are becoming a little more black.
And her writings becoming a bit more dark.
Her temper's been dramatically shortened
She's set off by any size remark.

What has gotten into her?
Why is she such a mess?
Who is it that knows
Exactly which buttons to press?

The face, once admired,
For looking flawless and beautiful
Now hidden under hair
Unkempt and so pitiful

Words explode from her mouth
With horrid implications
She no longer relies on hopes and dreams
And on love, she lost her patients.

She does anything now to fill her heart's void
Yet, nothing has yet too suffice
For everything she has thought to do
All comes with a price

What has happened to this girl?
What has driven her insane?
It is a boy, who broke her heart
And left her to dwell in the pain..
