The Tears

by Wings Of Flames   Apr 13, 2007

The Tears

A droplet of reflection,
Of the past in my hand,
I take every comment,
And cower where I stand,

You can't tell me anymore,
Of anything you've done,
We can't be together now,
We cannot keep our fun,

Set the scene with fireflies,
Light up my little screen,
An onlooker of your life,
Replaced from where I've been,

Tears are tragic nothings,
Glass that shatters dreams,
Friends shouldn't do this,
Should never break the seams,

Priceless little crystals,
That fall from the eye,
Silver precious stones,
That come when I cry,

I miss the time we had,
Laughing until we hurt,
I never thought we'd die,
Or leave me in the dirt.

Another very well written poem. I'm sorry if my comments seem to drag on or seem useless. I'm really tired, it's 3am here, and my eyes are tired, but I said, I'll just finish it tonight/morning before I forget!.. lol.
Good job on this poem, I like the rhyme scheme, but I could never really get use to it. I'm not much of a rhymer, but I try.

    Tears are tragic nothings,
    Glass that shatters dreams,

Thats my favorite part because I can just see it in my mind. Keep up the good work. *5/5*
