I sit alone
On this cold and gloomy night
Thoughts of you bombard me
Filling my mind like a raging river
With each gallon my mind explodes!
Water overflows through my eyes!
My heart has a migraine
No medicine can take it away
It beats at my chest in anguish
Longing to escape this sorrow
But each beat brings even more pain
So I stare into this dark night
And I cry to the heavens
PLEASE! I want this pain to stop!
Then I am reminded of an old saying
