A Door Long Left Closed

A door long left closed; reopened in every dream.
What could this possibly mean?
I block out a human-eating animal only to be too slow.
It gets in only to have a twisted plot it must show.

It's not really evil at all;
I made a really bad judgement call.
After nearly stabbing it to death it turns into a human; shocking me really.
The blood leaves me a tad chilly.

I nurse it back to health; only then to be awoken.
Here's a case I can't quite crack open...
I don't understand it at all;
The pieces just don't seem to know where to fall?

    I liked it even though i got a little confused in some places. Was this a dream you had or are you trying to describe an event that happened in your life. oh, and try not to force your rhymes so much. other than that, it was pretty good.

    I have to say I didn't like this one as much, a lot of the rhyming sounds forced, and the flow is terribly off at a few points. 4/5

    Wow, this was an interesting poem. Confusing, but it really makes me think, and try to imagine it!.. Kind of like a weird nightmare. Good job on this one..
