Life is Change, Change is life

by Lonesomeme   Apr 15, 2007

Life comes at you so fast
Changes in who you are
Changes in others
Leaving only change to stay the same

What if life changes and
What you thought you wanted
Changes to what you never
Thought you could have

You life can be over
In a matter of seconds
If you close your eyes
You may never wake up

Another change will have taken you life
Taken your chance to live
Your living a life
Or somethng like it

If you let change take you
Where you have never been
You could experience
So much more than you know

So often people fight change
Hold tight to the familiar
As if nothing could be greater
Finally slipping and falling into life again

So let go, dont slip
Jump into life
Arms wide open
As if this change could be the best thing in the world.

I like this poem. It spoke to me a lot because I have been feeling weird about all the change going on around me. It has a good flow to it. I must say, though; This is the first poem I've read that doesn't have any punctuation. That's alright, though. Sometimes it can be distracting because that's what some readers look for is how many mistakes you make. But, because you didn't have any of it the meaning shone through. Nicely penned.
