Past that haunts

by ForgottonUnloved   Apr 16, 2007

I turn a corner
and I see it
I can't run fast enough
It caught up with me

My blood splatters on the walls
As a knife goes into my heart
too bad it doesn't kill me
the more blood that fills the street
the more it hurts, but never ends

I scream out for anyone
and find out
with a stinging realization
they all left me

My scream bounces off
every wall in this ghost town
and my blood slowly floods the streets
I wish i could drown in it

A voice calls out
one i know very well
and says in a haunting voice

This is just the start
We won't let you die
but we won't let you live
Your life is ours now

with one last effort
I scream with such volume
even the birds stop in their flight
but no one helps me

No one ever will
