Blind No More

by Dani Ward   Apr 16, 2007

That quiet forest path
once again is tread
not by the young girl
but the young man instead
he is no longer blinded
though now it matters not
for in the end the young girl
waited too long and forgot
the young man was swept away
from the corners of her mind
replaced by a better man
who released her from the bind
he noticed what she needed
and offered what he had
now that lonely young girl
she is no longer sad
that young man walks alone
like an echo of the girl
but it is his own fault
stuck in this nightmare swirl
