Ment nothing

I wiped away your tears,
I cleared away the pain,
I made you jump for joy,
And made you smile again.

I've sacrificed my happiness,
To make you love once more.
I pushed my dreams aside,
To make you hurt no more.

I've give you the hope,
That you have craved so much,
I've chased away the shadows,
That plagued you from the start.

I've torn myself in two,
I was shattered to the core,
To only see you happy,
For to me that did mean more.

The end was unexpected,
Just a simple 'i dunno'
It shows to me that what i did,
Meant shit all and nothing more.

*sadly this is how most relationships end as people don't know the meaning of the words 'i love you' some use it for their own benefit and its wrong*

    Oh my, this is so bloody true.
    I can relate to this poem too, just goes to show what other people do to us, & cos of love we choose to ignore it.
    that was well written tho.

    Sadly, that's the stupid things we do for the person we love..
    I know i do it and i can't even begin to think of a day when he might not be there, i don't like thinking about it.
    But this poem is so full of the raw emotions of a break up.. it's well written
